Decadent Brownies

If you’re trying to be healthy, look away.  If your European tastebuds don’t appreciate the salty deliciousness of peanut butter, come back tomorrow.  But, if you think chocolate and peanut butter are a match made in heaven, then you’ve come to the right place!

Making brownies from scratch is really easy.  I made these ones from scratch, but in all honesty I prefer Ghiradelli triple chocolate brownies from a box.  I don’t know what kind of voodoo magic they put in those boxes, but they’re far better than anything I could make from scratch.  So, use any brownies you like, the real star here is the peanut butter frosting.  And it’s so easy.

First, I have to give a shout out to my husband who found this recipe for a men’s cooking competition at church.  He didn’t win, but he should have.

6 Tbsp softened butter

3/4 c peanut butter

1 c powdered sugar

Cream the butter and peanut butter and then mix in the powdered sugar.  That’s it!  This makes enough for an 8×8 pan (if you don’t eat too much of it before it makes it to the brownies!)  You can also sprinkle with a little bit of sea salt after they’re frosted.
