Your Public Library’s Best Kept Secret
I love the library. When it comes to the library, we are serious users. We always have at least two dozen books scattered around our house. The library loves us too, because we always have a running tab for our late charges, but we always pay them and we always return the books. I figure $40 a year in library fines is WAY cheaper than buying all the books we read!
Recently I discovered that our library also has museum passes that you can check out and use for FREE! These are not cheesy places, we’re talking about places you actually want to go! Places like the San Francisco Exploratorium, Aquarium by the Bay, Asian Art Museum, Oakland Zoo, The Lawrence Hall of Science…the list goes on, but you get the idea! I’m so excited about it! All you do is go online with your library card, find a date that the passes are available for the place you want to go, reserve them, and print out your tickets. It couldn’t be easier!
So if your kids are feeling cooped up this winter break, check out your library and get out and go do something fun!
