Christmas Gifts for Teachers
Do you need a Christmas gift for your kids’ teachers? This is what I’m doing this year. Hot chocolate on a stick. It’s delicious! You can buy it at the Ticket Kitchen, or you can make your own using this recipe at Giverslog or this recipe at Make and Takes. I’m packaging mine with homemade marshmallows using Alton Brown’s recipe here (trust me, these marshmallows don’t disappoint. Staunch marshmallow haters have been wooed by them), and monogrammed mugs from Anthropologie. Anthropologie has a lot of other beautiful mugs, but since I haven’t been helping in the classroom much this year (at all), I thought the monogrammed mugs add a nice personal touch. They really say, “Hey! Even though I never help in the classroom, I actually do know what your last name is!”
The great thing about this gift is that you can make or buy the hot chocolate on a stick ahead of time, as well as the mugs. The marshmallows keep for 3 weeks, so you can make them a little bit ahead of time too. No last minute gifts! (That’s my mantra for gift giving this year).
