Inspiration to Carry On
I am a self-proclaimed perfectionist. I feel like if I don’t have a relative amount of success the first time I try something, I’m just not good at it. Sometimes I find myself reluctant to try something, for fear of failure. It’s a trait that I have, unfortunately, passed along to at least one of my children. But failure is an integral part of the learning process. So, if you find yourself wallowing in self-doubt (or if you’re the less dramatic type and you’re just wondering if you can keep working at something), here are some of my favorite quotes to inspire you.
“It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with the problems longer.” – Albert Einstein
“When you come to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.” – Franklin D. Roosevelt
“It always seems impossible until it’s done.” – Nelson Mandela
“Defeat is simply a signal to press onward.” – Helen Keller
