This Chocolate Cake Just Might Bring Tears to Your Eyes
Yep, it’s that good.
I made this cake a month ago for my husband’s half birthday, and I’m still thinking about it. It was super moist and stayed that way for a whole week! I also like this recipe because it doesn’t require any strange ingredients. You should be able to make it with things you have in your pantry and fridge. For cocoa powder, I like Rodelle Dutch Processed (you can buy a huge container of it at Costco). Also, the recipe says the batter will be thin – well, they aren’t kidding! I’ve had melted milkshakes that are thicker than this batter. I was so worried it wasn’t going to turn out that I almost started making another cake as backup. But, it totally worked and was delicious! I used ganache for the middle and the outside (equal parts cream and 60% cacao chocolate chips). When I saw that it had pooled at the bottom of the cake I wondered if I’d used too much ganache, but then I came to my senses – What? Too much ganache? There’s no such thing! Enjoy!
