Dear Spring Break

Dear Spring Break,

We miss you already.  You were so good to us with your lazy mornings and your sometimes lazy afternoons.  Eventhough you gave us a lot of rain, we still found joy in you.  Park days, bike rides, swimming, and day trips to the sea.  We hardly cooked dinner – we were far too busy for that!  We’re back to normal now and the only thing that keeps us from falling into a pit of grief over our loss of you is the knowledge that soon we’ll be visited by your older, and frankly, even more attractive cousin – summer vacation.  But you will always have a fond place in our heart.
